In addition, he has extensive experience with moving startup businesses through the early stages of development into viable companies.

A native of Birmingham, he began his career as a Commercial Investment Officer and Center Manager holding several investment and annuity licenses. He went on to manage multiple regional banks and achieved high levels of success in lending, marketing, and management.

In 1998, he founded Management, Research and Development Consultants LLC (MRD Consultants) and is the Chief Executive Officer (CED) where he oversees a wide range of commercial and retail investments and venture capital funds. His company has been instrumental in planning, developing, and increasing the profitability of closely held companies.
